5LINKS – ファイブリンクス

5LINKSは、単に「小さくなる折りたたみ自転車を作ろう」という発想で開発されたものではありません。
全世界的にCO2の削減、健康な生活が叫ばれる昨今、「従来の交通機関を利用した　人間の移動スタイル　そのものを変えよう」そんな発想から「今までより、もっと便利で、もっと早く、もっと健康で、地球環境にやさしい移動手段はないか？」という命題を設定。これを解決する交通機関をPUV（Personal Urban Vehicle) と定義し思考を重ねるうち「簡単に携帯できる自由自在な自転車を作る」という結論が導き出されていきました。
その結果、普段使いによく、簡単に折りたため、軽く、運びやすく、他の交通機関に積載しやすい現在のデザインが完成しました。
ですから5LINKSのネーミングには「5LINKSに乗って走るもよし、携帯するもよし、電車に、自動車に、船に、飛行機にも積んで、世界の５大陸を移動しよう」という願いが込められています。

The development for the 5LINK bicycle did not just happen because we wanted a small folding bicycle.
Because of the Global necessity to reduce CO2 emissions, improve our health and to be more environmentally aware, we researched why not more people were making use of the urban transport options available.
　
This market research showed that there was a need for a more convenient way to allow people to combine the different options of urban transport available. We defined the way of transportation as PUV(Personal Urban Vehicle) and continued to consider. What was needed was something to allow easy transport between the different modes of transport, which was easy to use, fold and carry.
All of this resulted in the design of the 5Link folding bicycle.
　
This is where the first reason for the name appeared, being that 5Link = links between 5 modes of transport, ie Plane, Train, Car, Boat and Walking.
　
The second reason was that this urban travel tool can be used through all continents, Asia, America, Europe, Oceania and Africa.
The 5Link bicycle is the perfect solution for the concerned Urban Traveler, because of the convenience of use in a very convenient and easy to use package.

5linksは女性でも簡単に乗車ができます（身長150cm以上の方に対応）。折畳めば「引きずる」ことで楽に移動ができ、今までのように「担ぐ」必要はありません。キャリーバック気分でどこへでも持ち出しましょう。
