期間中、台北の天気は曇りから晴れ、週の前半は寒く（15℃位）、後半に暖かく（25℃位）なりました。
最近は、台湾でも異常気象で、今年は、台湾の平野部でも雪が降り、冬には低温で死亡する方が出たそうです。
台北では、既に梅の季節は1か月前に終わり、朝の散歩で歩いた公園では「山桜」が満開でした。
早朝の公園は、ヤシ科の植物や、「溶樹」「黄槿」と言う幹や形が不思議な形状をした木、広場には「太極拳」のような体操をしているご老人が大勢います。

大きな木の下では、「タイワンリス」が餌を探して走ります。
盛んに、聞き慣れない鳥のさえずりが聞こえます。
やはり日本とは違う景色です。「南の国」を感じます。
日本では5月に咲く「山つつじ」も盛りです。日本のつつじの花の2倍くらいの大きさがあります。暖かい季節が長く、日本の季節から想像すると、「旬が重複している」ような錯覚に陥ります。台湾の人にとっては、これが普通なのですね。
華やかな色の花が多く、「花が濃い」という印象を持ちます。
香りの良い花の咲く木下では、老婦人が補助椅子に座って、たまに両手を広げ、この木の「気」を全身に受けています。
ビルの脇に力強く伸びる「溶樹」や「黄槿（ハマボウ）」の木の形を、台湾の人は、デザインに生かすのでしょうか？
6日に無事帰国いたしました。

今年も台北国際自転車見本市(Taipei International Cycle Show 2016)が3月2日ー5日まで
開催されました。
５ＬＩＮＫＳは、今年で3回目の出展となりました。
南港のエキジビションセンターの４Ｆ展示会場のＪＡＰＡＮブースに加わりました。
期間中には、「Ｓｈｏｗ Ｄａｉｌｙ」という展示会の案内フリーペーパーが開催中毎日発行されます。５ＬＩＮＫＳは幸運にも、「Ｎｅｗ Ｐｒｏｄｕｃｔｓ」欄に、1日目（日本語）と3日目（英語）で掲載されました。
本来この展示会は、B to B（商談目的）の展示会ですが、当ブースにも大勢の来客も得、持参したパンフレット、名刺も完売となり、実り多い展示会となりました。
５ＬＩＮＫＳが、新しい交通機関として、広く世界に広がっていくことを望んでいます。
Taipei International Cycle Show 2016 was held from 2nd to 5th of March this year. This is the 3rd time for 5LINKS to be exhibited.
We, this year, exhibited in the Japan booth on the 4th floor of Nangang Exhibition Hall.
During the period, free paper called “Show Daily” is distributed every day. Luckily 5LINKS was introduced on the page of new products on the 1st day in Japanese and the 3rd day in English.
This show is an exhibition for the purpose of business negotiation (B to B). We have received lots of visitors, and our leaflets and business cards were gone, which is good!
We hope 5LINKS will be expanding widely to the world as a new means of transportation.

寒い冬の季節、日本の景色は殺風景です。
そのような時期に梅の花が咲くと、思わず花を探すミツハチのように近づいてしまいます。
近づいて、花と共に、その枝のデザインに注目します。
古い幹の部分のカーブは複雑な形です。
急に折れ曲がったり、下に向かったりします。
先の方の、若い枝は「反り」と呼ばれる緩やかなカーブで多くが上に向かいます。
古い枝から伸びる若い枝のデザインに、生命の躍動を感じます。
古くから、日本の有名な画家は、そのデザインを一枚の絵の中に表現しました。
一方、観客はその構図に、自身の心の中を重ね、鑑賞します。

私は、古の日本の職人がこの「反り」と呼ばれる緩やかなカーブを、色々な作品に写したのではないかと考えます。

寺社 屋根の「反り」(Roof of the temple’s “Sori-curve”)
自転車のデザインは、その機能で、かなり制約を受けます。
しかし５ＬＩＮＫＳのフレームデザインには、自然界にある「反り」の形を取り入れました。
古の職人を見習い、今後は、その完成度をますます上げていきたいと思います。

In winter, a cold season, Japanese scenery is out of taste.
When I see plum blossoms blooming in such a season, I cannot help getting closer just like a bee looking for flowers.
Coming near the plum tree, I pay attention to branches as well as blossoms.
The old branches are thick and turn complicatedly.
They bend abruptly, or sometimes they go downward.
Young twigs mostly go upward with a gentle curve called “Sori-curve”.
I feel a pulse of life in the shape of young twigs extending from old branches.
From old days, many Japanese famous painters have expressed the shape in one piece of paintings.
And people watch it comparing feelings of their own with its composition.
I assume that the old Japanese craftsmen imitated the shape of gentle curves called “Sori-curve” to their various works.
Bicycles are considerably restricted in design due to the functions.
Nevertheless I adopted the shape of “Sori-curve” which exists in natural world for our 5LINKS frame design.
Learning from the old craftsmen, I am determined to bring the design much closer to perfection.
寒冬的季節，日本的風景看起來也是冷冷清清。在這時期看到綻放的梅花，我就像一隻尋找花的蜜蜂不由自主的接近。
走近花專注的看了枝頭的設計。老枝部分的曲線是複雜的形狀。突然彎曲或朝向底部。
在往前方ㄧ點，很多幼枝在被稱為「Sori-curve」的曲線中往上伸展。
從老枝延展出來的幼枝讓人感受的到生命的悸動。
從古到今，日本著名的畫家就已經把這樣的設計表現在畫裡。
而觀眾們ㄧ邊鑑賞一邊也把這樣的情境跟自己的境遇重疊。
我認為以前日本的職人就已把所所謂的「Sori-curve」反應在各種作品中。
自行車的設計上因為功能的關係，有很多的限制。
但5LINKS的車架設計引進了自然界裏的「Sori-curve」。見習以前職人的精神，希望能日益提高完成度。

御挨拶（Greetings）
５ＬＩＮＫＳの公式ブログが始まります。
その第一回目が、まだ寒い、早春の２月であることは、私にとって大変幸運です。
東京近郊の今日の気温は、昼1６度夜7度です。
日本は「春」「夏」「秋」「冬」の「四季」がはっきりしています。
東京も、ようやく寒い「冬」が終わり、暖かい「春」が近づいて来ました。
会社の近くでも、「白梅」続いて「紅梅」や「桃」の花が咲き始めました。
厳しい季節に耐えた木々が、ようやく枝を伸ばし、硬いつぼみが開き始めます。
私は、この時期が大好きです。
昼間は、良いお天気だったので、展示用の５ＬＩＮＫＳを持って、お花見に出かけました。
最近の多くの日本人は、花見をするのに一番美しい花は「桜」と言います。
しかし私は「梅の花見」が大好きです。
私は、この植物の活動に、自分達の日々の生活を重ね合わせます。
冬に耐え、まだ寒いこの時期に枝を張り、力強く花を咲かせる姿に、生命の営みのたくましさを感じます。また、来る暖かい春に、希望を持ちます。
５ＬＩＮＫＳは、少し変わった形の折り畳みの自転車ですが、日本で、発想され、設計が行われました。
現在のモデルは「台湾」で量産されています。「台湾」は世界の高級自転車の９５％を製造していると言われる、自転車大国です。ほとんどの有名なブランド自転車が台湾で作られています。
しかし、５ＬＩＮＫＳは、その「外観のデザイン」「コンセプト」に、日本の「自然」や、「季節」「風土」引いては「日本人の生活・思考」から大きな影響を受けている、と考えています。
このブログでは、５ＬＩＮＫＳに関することを、いろいろな視点から書いていきたいと思います。

We will start our official blog of 5LINKS.
It was said today’s temperature in the suburbs of Tokyo where we have our office is 16℃ in the daytime and 7℃ at night. It is very lucky that I can write the first one in this early spring of February when it is still chilly. In Japan we have four seasons, each of which is clearly distinguished from others. And now cold “winter” is almost over and I feel warm “spring” is approaching to Tokyo at last.
Even near our office, “red plum blossoms” and “peach blossoms” began to bloom followed by “white plum blossoms”. Trees that withstood a severe season, extending the branches finally, began to open the hard buds. I love this time. As it was such a good weather, I went out to enjoy the blossoms with a 5LINKS.
Many modern Japanese say “cherry blossoms” are the most beautiful flowers to see, but I personally prefer plum blossoms.
I can superimpose the activities of this plant and the day-to-day life of our own.
Having survived cold winter, plum trees spread their branches and bloom their blossoms strongly although it is still cold, by which we feel power of life. And the fact warm spring comes again brings us hope.
5LINKS is a folding bicycle of rather unique style which was considered and designed in Japan from the first place. And now 5LINKS is being produced in Taiwan where 95% of world high quality bicycles are made. Bicycles of most of famous brands are made in Taiwan. Nevertheless we think 5LINKS is, in part of the appearance and the concept, very much influenced by the Japanese nature, the seasons, the climate, and also the way of life and thinking.
In this blog, I would like to write something about 5LINKS from various points of view.

5LINKS的官方部落格開始運作了。
第一次的部落格，雖然還有點冷對我而言我覺得很幸運。因為春天已提早在2月到來。東京近郊今天的溫度白天16度，晚上7度。
在日本「春」「夏」「秋」「冬」都很明顯。東京寒冷的「冬天」終於結束，溫暖的「春天」俏俏到來。公司附近「白梅」綻開後換「紅梅」然後是「桃」的花也接連綻放。經歷嚴冬天考驗的樹木，也都展開枝頭，綻放新芽。
我最喜歡這個時候了。中午天氣好，就帶著5LINKS的展示車外出賞花去。最近日本人賞花被選為最美的花是「櫻花」。但我個人喜歡觀賞「梅花」。好像是跟自己的日常生活重疊了的感覺。寒冷冬天裏也努力綻放的生命力另人感到欽佩。對於即將來臨的春天也會因此而充滿了希望。
5LINKS是一台有著特別外形的折疊車。來自日本的構想跟設計。現行車款是在台灣生產。據說世界上高級車的95%都是在「台灣」生產，是自行車大國。幾乎所有有名的自行車品牌也都是在台灣生產。儘管如此，5LINKS的「外觀設計」「概念」還是源自於「日本人的生活·思考」，並且深受日本的「自然」「季節」「風土人情」影響。
今後將透過這部落格，跟大家分享不同角度的5LINKS。也請多多指教。

Do you like the seaweed or the tea tree toner better? I have similar skin as you, not as bad right now and I use the seaweed one. But I’m wondering if the tea tea tree one would be better.
